Why New Zealand?

Come Visit Us

A warm welcome:
  • Explore the natural beauty that makes NZ. Being quite a small country, even the most exotic of places are no more than a day's travel away - usually a whole lot less. The weather here is also relatively kind, making it easy to get out and about all year.
  • Discover the natural warmth and hospitality that NZ is famous for.
  • Experience a unique diverse blend of European and Maori traditions mixed with influences from Polynesia, Asia and elsewhere.
  • If you're into adventure, our mountains, lakes and coasts offer a dazzling array of high-adrenaline activities that are affordable and easy to access.

Working in New Zealand

Our way of working:
  • Our kiwi-style businesses are small by international standards. A smaller scale means a greater involvement in the business.
  • NZ has a strong independent streak. This affects the way we like to be managed and the management style you're likely to find at work. Managers are respected by the staff but they are seen as one of the team. Many work places have a relaxed, almost family like atmosphere.
  • Because teams are smaller, getting on with other people at work is very important.
  • Working hard is important in NZ but so is making good use of time outside of work. Life is for living and employers generally respect that. This is why NZ workers enjoy about the best work/life balance in the world.

A Day in the Life of a Student

Student life in NZ has its own distinctive flavour:
  • The number in your classes are smaller meaning more supportive environments and more personalized attention from your teachers.
  • Unlike some cultures, challenging and questioning teachers and lecturers is an important part of NZ education. Students are encouraged to have original thoughts and fully participate in the academic process - this is how we show respect for our teachers.
  • NZ is a young country where independence, initiative and resourcefulness is highly regarded.
  • It is good to have accommodation organised before you arrive in NZ. As a student, you could stay in a hall of residence, rent a house with friends, or board in a home-stay.
  • Most NZ cities are relatively small so it's easy to get around. Day to day commuting in the city is often by bus, biking or walking.

Living in New Zealand

Recipe for living:
  • Moving to NZ also means experiencing what many people describe as one of the most beautiful and greenest countries you can find.
  • The pace is relaxed, the people are friendly and the prospects are great.
  • With the highest proportion of foreign-born people, NZ in the 21st century is a multicultural nation.
  • Then there is the famous NZ work/life balance, which gives you time and head-space to combine a good day's work with doing the things you and your family want to do.
  • NZ is one the most desirable places for family. It is the perfect place to bring up children with opportunities for young people to grow up with easy access to sports and outdoors, space and freedom.
  • Our easy-going ways, uncrowded communities, relatively low crime rates and compact workplaces means life’s generally less stressed here.
