Australian open

The Australian open is based in Melbourne, Australia. It is the first played Grandslam of the year which is played in January.  It is found in 1905 and the current Australian open champion is Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic. Roland Garros

The Roland-Garros or French open is based in Paris, France. It is the second played Grandslam of the year and is played in late May. The current Roland-Garros champion is Spanish tennis player, Rafael Nadal. The surface of tennis courts played at the Roland-Garros are clay. 

Wimbledon

Wimbledon is played in London, England. It is the third played Grandslam of the year and is played in July. It is found in 1877 making it the oldest tennis tournament in the world. The current Wimbledon champion is Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic. Compared to the other Grandslams, Wimbledon is the only tournament where the attire must be white. The preferred tennis courts played at Wimbledon is grass courts. 

Us Open

The US open is played in New York city, United States. It is the last played Grandslam of the year and is played late August. It is found in 1881 and the current US open champion is Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic. The played surface of tennis courts at the US open are pro decoturf hard courts.
